The assessment PDF. SHA-256: 31208dba64e1c3b88eba9075a2ff65cb69924a06624493f1bc3f73e110e74c12
Download the file and run shasum -a 256 over it. If the value differs, the file is not the one struck here.
The timestamp. The receipt AOS-AWS-2026-001-v1.1.pdf.ots is an OpenTimestamps proof over exactly those bytes, submitted to four calendars on 9 September 2026 and pending confirmation in the Bitcoin blockchain at publication. It has since been anchored: the receipt served here carries two Bitcoin attestations. It establishes that the file existed no later than the moment it was stamped. It establishes nothing about whether the file is correct.
The assessed source. The assessment rests on 21 pinned artefacts: 3 retrieved and pinned by this case, in the register below, and 18 relied on from nine other registers of this corpus, each named in the document’s References with the register that holds it, and each re-verified against that register’s recorded hash when this page was generated. All 21 are pinned by hash; none is independently archived. Quotations were checked against the text layer of each pinned artefact - a web page with its markup stripped, the spreadsheet’s cells, the PDF’s extraction - not against page images; every count states the artefact it was taken from and the test that produced it, and every statement that something is absent states the population searched and the control.
Re-fetch, measured at the pin. Each of the 3 rows of this register was fetched twice within the minute under convention 50 and the two hashes compared; the result is in the stability column of RETRIEVAL-LOG-2026-09-07.tsv. 2 returned different bytes on each fetch, A-AWS-ST-1, A-AWS-ST-2, and each row’s own name field says so: their hashes stand only against the copies this practice holds and cannot be confirmed by fetching the address. The other 1 returned the same bytes twice on that day, which holds until the publisher changes the page.

None of the 3 artefacts pinned by this case has an independent capture pinned here. All 3 were retrieved from their publishers by this practice; a reader must rely on this site or on each publisher’s server. The 18 relied-on artefacts below carry whatever third-party capture their holding register records, on that register’s own page.
The build. The PDF is produced deterministically from tracked source by build.sh, with SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH pinned to midnight UTC of 7 September 2026, the publication day, which does not move at any revision. Repeat builds on one machine and one toolchain are byte-identical; independent third-party reproducibility is not established and is not claimed. Verify by SHA-256, not by rebuild.
Version history
Two versions. Version 1.1 adds the two Australian Acts version 1.0 named as unread, the Crimes Act 1914 Part IAA and the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Act 1979 Part III, in a new Section 5 and five new elements of the finding; it rewords one Scope sentence and one heading sentence that were true of the two Acts version 1.0 read and are not true of four, and replaces the Limitations sentence that named the two Acts as unread. No element of version 1.0’s finding is withdrawn or narrowed, and the register of this case’s own sources did not move. Version 1.0 remains downloadable below at its own hash.

The cover carries 9 September 2026, the date the assessment was made, and publication followed the same day. An assessment is a reading of a source at a moment, and the document’s retrieval times and viewed dates already fix that moment; the cover is not moved to the upload date, because that would put two dates on one act of reading.
Corrections
Corrected 17 October 2026: section 7 of versions 1.0 and 1.1 says the “prescribed communications provider” is “defined at clause 1” of Schedule 1 to the TIA Act. Clause 2, “Definitions”, defines it. Clause 1 is the Schedule’s simplified outline. The source both versions cite, L-TIA-2 (Compilation No. 134, volume 2), has clause 1 on printed page 54 (PDF page 68) and the definition under clause 2 on printed page 59 (PDF page 73). The statement was wrong when made. The definition the section quotes is right, and no finding moves. The published PDFs are not changed: the words stand on PDF page 7 of version 1.0 and PDF page 10 of version 1.1.
Version 1.1 is a revision, not a correction: it adds two Acts and rewords two sentences the practice’s corrections register records as true when version 1.0 was published and overtaken by the practice’s own later reading, under the heading Not a correction, 9 September 2026. Any correction to this assessment will be recorded here and in the practice’s corrections register, and the published bytes of this version will not move.
Corrections made before publication are not listed here. They are recorded in the case’s own pre-insertion audit, which is tracked with the source.
